Girls in ICT Day is marked globally and annually on the fourth Thursday in April.   An initiative by United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Member States in Plenipotentiary Resolution 70 to generate a global environment that encourages girls and women to pursue careers in information and communication technologies (ICT); the world’s fastest growing sector.

WITIN is a pioneer of Girls in ICT Day Celebrations globally.    A 2013 “Tech Needs Girls” partner of the ITU, winning several international Awards. WITIN is in special consultative status with the United Nations.

International Day of the Girl Child  2020

The International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated annually on 11th October. This year, we are inspiring girls ages 9-16 to shape their future as leaders in the #4ir this Sunday, October 11 as we mark the #DayOfTheGirl . Our slogan is “On your mark, Girls Go”
